Little Climate Finance Book
Building on the success of The Little REDD Book, this second GCP publication uses a common framework developed by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) to present, in a simple way, the emerging large-scale innovative financial mechanisms for climate change mitigation and adaptation and their relation to forests. Using non-technical language the book will analyse the various proposals currently on the table and look at how they relate specifically to forests and REDD (Reducing Emissions for Deforestation and Degradation).
The Little Climate Finance Book will be presented at the Bangkok UNFCCC negotiations in late September and will be updated for the milestone Copenhagen Climate Conference in December. The book will also be available on CD and online and, if funds permit, be available in five languages (English, French, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Chinese). It will be updated regularly with new developments within the UN and other financial negotiations. The audience includes climate change negotiators, government ministers, private sector finance, civil society and on the ground stakeholders.
