Evidence review on research for health in humanitarian crises

This project, carried out by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Harvard University and the Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG), ODI, seeks to carry out an evidence review on research for health in humanitarian crises. HPG's role in this project is of general advisor and translating the findings of the study into the global humanitarian context.

This review focuses on the evidence-base on the impact of public health interventions and how this has been used to inform humanitarian decision making. Humanitarian interventions take place in complex environments with many influencing normative, contextual, technical and institutional factors. The review therefore also includes available evidence on the enabling and constraining factors that affect the impact of defined health interventions in humanitarian settings.
