ODI has been commissioned by UNICEF to investigate how previous economic shocks have affected children, to develop a topology of policy response to protect children during economic crises and to advocate for policy changes to protect children in current/future crises. The partnership will involve several outputs including a report, a short recommendation paper on actions that could be taken by UNICEF, four stand-alone case studies, a high profile conference and a thematic edition of ODI's Journal, Development Policy Review.
