We provide practical, innovative and strategic advice to policy makers in government and donor agencies on aid delivery, and we develop guidance notes and toolkits to support their assistance programmes. We also provide technical assistance and recommendations for the development and implementation of public finance management systems.
We have been at the forefront of efforts to develop output-based budgeting systems, design budget support strategies and provide technical advice on donor initiatives to improve the transparency and publication of aid data.
Our approach integrates innovative ideas from new thinking on global challenges, such as fragile states and climate change. In addition, we draw from emerging themes and actors in international aid, including non-traditional and emerging donors and market-based approaches to the reform of the international aid architecture. Our experience in policy advice is brought to a wider audience on a regular basis through various international events, conferences, workshops and publications.
