Assessment of Recent Bushmeat Research and Recommendations to Her Majesty's Government
The study aims to provide non-partisan advice to the IDMGb on the relative importance of the bushmeat trade in relation to:
- global diversity loss;
- efforts to conserve and sustainably use biodiversity;
- the UK's international commitments; and
- the alleviation of poverty and hunger.
It responds to a request from Ministers in the Inter-Departmental Ministerial group on Biodiversity (IDMGb) to inform their discussions relating to HMG policy on the 'bushmeat trade'.
