Agricultural technology disruptors in East African value chains
Implications for regional integration and inequality within the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) - Phase Two
This project aims to develop a conceptual framework to elucidate the mechanisms and processes of Agtech development and creation, diffusion, appropriation and adoption into Global Value Chains (GVCs) and Regional Value Chains (RVCs) in the East African Community (EAC).
It also simulates possible implications on the outcomes of Agtech adoption, on export competitiveness, regional and gendered inequalities within the EAC and ultimately recommends key interventions for EIF to implement.
