Agricultural technology disruptors in East African value chains: implications for regional integration and inequality within the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF)
This project aims to develop a conceptual framework to elucidate the mechanisms and processes of Agritech development and creation, diffusion, appropriation and adoption into Global Value Chains (GVCs) and Regional Value Chains (RVCs) in the East African Community (EAC). It also simulates possible implications of the outcomes of Agritech adoption on export competitiveness and regional and gendered inequalities within the EAC, offering recommendations for possible interventions.
