This project provides advice to the Trade ministries on the impact of international trade agreements and preparation of a strategy for participation in current and upcoming international trade negotiations. It worked with governments of Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda to build institutions and capacity to design, negotiate and implement trade policy effectively, taking account of its effects on poverty.
