Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance Programme in Ethiopia, Mozambique and Uganda
The Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance (ACCRA) project was established in 2009 with the goal of improving poor and vulnerable communities’ ability to adapt to change. ACCRA specifically addresses the longer-term problems associated with climate change, increased populations and competition for resources.
ODI publications can be found below. ACCRA has produced further publications, which can be downloaded from the ACCRA Project Page.
Since 2012, ACCRA has been promoting a game-based approach to learning and dialogue in its three focus countries – Ethiopia, Uganda and Mozambique. The ACCRA game, which is based on the Flexible and Forward Looking and Decision Making principles - one of the Local Adaptive Capacity Framework characteristics, inspires and helps decision and policy makers to understand, think differently and plan for long term while tackling climate change complexities and uncertainties at the local, regional, and global levels.
More information and a blog can be found on the ACCRA website.
