Climate change, conflict and displacement
Description
The Humanitarian Practice Network (HPN) has recently published the 84th issue of the Humanitarian Exchange magazine on the topic of climate change, conflict and displacement. We will be launching this issue at OCHA’s Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW).
In this session, authors of three of the articles will share and critically reflect on their experiences, initiatives they’ve been involved in and their perspectives on this theme.
Join us to hear Imrul Islam and Thomas Wilson from the Norwegian Refugee Council speak about extreme heat, drought and displacement in Iraq; Madison Jensen from World Jewish Relief and Madina Yunis Mahat from the Pastoralist Girls Initiative discuss climate (im)mobility, gender and conflict in Garissa County, Kenya; and Helena O’Mahony from Mishcon de Reya LLP talk about using the international human rights system to litigate the climate crisis.
If you have already registered, please note that the session will stream live from this page.
